Our Story

Our Story: 16 Years of Crafting Rain Boots That Last

The Beginning: A Small Workshop in Wenzhou (2008)

Our story started in 2008, in a 200-square-meter small workshop in Wenzhou, with only 3 skilled workers, 2 old rubber mixing machines and a simple hand-gluing production line. Back then, we were just a group of young people who loved shoemaking, and we thought making rain boots was easy—just mix rubber, cut it, glue it to the sole, and you're done. We had no idea how wrong we were.

Our first order was 1200 pairs of basic rain boots for a South American customer. We worked day and night for 2 weeks, and we were proud of the finished products. But 1 month later, we received a devastating call: all 1200 pairs were leaking at the seams, the rubber was cracking after only 2 weeks of use, and the customer was returning the entire order. We lost over $30,000 that day—almost all of our startup capital.

That failure hit us hard, but it also taught us the most important lesson we have ever learned: rain boots are not just rubber and glue. They are a product of science, precision and craftsmanship. A 1-degree difference in mixing temperature, a 1-minute difference in vulcanization time, or a 0.1mm gap in the glue can make the difference between a boot that lasts 3 years and one that leaks after one rain.

The Turning Point: 18 Months of Non-Stop Testing

After that disaster, we didn't give up. Instead, we spent every waking hour learning everything we could about rubber chemistry and rain boot manufacturing. We visited every experienced rain boot master in Wenzhou, bought every industry textbook we could find, and set up a small test lab in our workshop.

For 18 months, we tested over 200 different rubber formulas, adjusted mixing temperatures from 120℃ to 180℃, and tried every possible vulcanization time. We made thousands of test boots, cut them open, bent them 10,000 times, soaked them in water for 72 hours, and left them in the sun for weeks to test aging resistance. Our hands were covered in rubber stains and burns, and we slept in the workshop more nights than we slept at home.

Finally, in late 2009, we developed our first stable rubber formula—one that was soft, elastic, waterproof and resistant to cracking. That formula is still the foundation of all our rain boots today.

The Evolution: From Handmade to Automated Excellence

In 2012, we made the biggest investment in our history: we borrowed money to buy 3 imported fully automatic one-piece injection molding machines. This was a game-changer. Unlike hand-glued boots, which always have seams that can leak, injection-molded boots are formed in one single piece—upper and sole together—with no seams at all. This completely eliminated the biggest problem in rain boot manufacturing: water leakage.

In 2015, we opened our official store on Alibaba International Station, which opened the door to more global customers. We started receiving orders from Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia and all over South America. As we grew, we never forgot the lesson from our first failure. We continued to invest in R&D, developing specialized formulas for different climates: anti-mold and anti-sticky formulas for the humid long rainy seasons in Peru and Venezuela, anti-aging and anti-UV formulas for the harsh sunlight in Africa, and cold-resistant formulas that stay soft at -20℃ for European winters.

Today, 16 years later, we have 3 standardized production workshops, 8 fully automatic production lines, and over 200 skilled workers. We produce over 5 million pairs of shoes every year, and our rain boots are worn by farmers, construction workers, commuters and outdoor enthusiasts in over 30 countries.

But some things have never changed:

We still never use recycled rubber or inferior fillers, even though it would cut our costs by 30%. We only use 100% new eco-friendly natural rubber and PVC.

We still test every single pair of rain boots 3 times for waterproofing before they leave the factory. Any boot that fails is immediately scrapped.

We still treat every customer like a partner, not just a buyer. We work closely with our clients to develop products that meet their exact market needs.

For 16 years, we have only done one thing: make good rain boots. And we will keep doing it for the next 16 years, and the next 16 after that.

We have obtained 8 national patents related to rain boot manufacturing technology, and our products have passed EU REACH, RoHS and other international certifications.

Quality is the lifeblood of our brand. We have established a strict full-process quality control system with 12 inspection links from raw material incoming inspection to finished product shipment:

  1. Raw material incoming inspection: All raw materials must pass strict quality inspection before entering the warehouse.
  2. Production process inspection: Each production link has a dedicated quality inspector to conduct random inspections.
  3. Semi-finished product inspection: Inspect the size, appearance and performance of semi-finished products.
  4. Finished product full inspection: Every pair of shoes undergoes 100% full inspection before leaving the factory.
  5. Packaging inspection: Inspect the packaging quality and shipping marks before shipment.

For rain boots, we have added 3 special inflation waterproof tests: first, inflate the rain boot to a certain pressure and immerse it in water for 30 seconds to check for air bubbles; second, inflate again and let it stand for 24 hours to check for pressure drop; third, perform a water filling test to ensure no leakage at all. Any unqualified product is directly scrapped and will never leave the factory.

Our Exclusive Rain Boot Manufacturing Process

  • Raw Material Mixing & Compounding: We prioritize 100% new high-quality EVA material as our core rain boot material, followed by natural rubber and environmentally friendly PVC, completely rejecting recycled materials, inferior fillers and harmful additives. Our senior engineers mix EVA resin, foaming agent, vulcanizing agent, accelerator, anti-aging agent, anti-mold agent and other additives according to the exact formula ratio, and control the mixing temperature within ±2℃ to ensure the uniformity and stability of the material.
  • Open Milling & Preforming: The mixed material is sent to the open mill for repeated rolling to further improve the plasticity and uniformity. Then it is cut into sheets of specified thickness and preformed into the shape required for injection molding.
  • Fully Automatic One-Piece Injection Molding: This is the core process that determines the waterproof performance of rain boots. We have introduced 6 sets of imported fully automatic injection molding machines, which inject the molten EVA/rubber/PVC into the precision mold at high pressure and high temperature, forming the entire rain boot (upper + sole) in one piece without any seams. This process completely eliminates the problem of water leakage at the seams that is common in glued rain boots.
  • Vulcanization/Foaming Treatment: The formed rain boots are sent to the vulcanization/foaming furnace for high-temperature treatment. We strictly control the time and temperature according to different material formulas to ensure that the material achieves the best elasticity, hardness, wear resistance and aging resistance. For EVA rain boots, we use a special foaming process to make them lightweight and high-elastic.
  • Trimming & Polishing: After treatment, workers manually trim the excess burrs on the edge of the rain boots, and polish the surface to make it smooth and beautiful. Every pair of rain boots is carefully trimmed by hand to ensure no sharp edges or burrs that will scratch the skin.
  • 3 Times Waterproof Testing: This is the most critical quality inspection link. Every pair of rain boots must pass 3 inflation waterproof tests: first, inflate the rain boot to a certain pressure and immerse it in water for 30 seconds to check for air bubbles; second, inflate again and let it stand for 24 hours to check for pressure drop; third, perform a water filling test to ensure no leakage at all. Any rain boot that fails the test will be directly scrapped.
  • Final Inspection & Packaging: After passing the waterproof test, the rain boots will undergo a final full inspection of appearance, size, logo and function. Qualified products will be packed in plain cartons (or customized packaging according to customer requirements) and sent to the finished product warehouse waiting for shipment.
